Toyota Material Handling Australia (TMHA) is looking for a professional and well-experienced safety influencer join our team on a 12 month fixed term contract. The position will support the achievement of TMHA's WHS&E objectives and it's safety culture transformation journey.

**YOUR CONTRIBUTION**

The role will report to the National Safety Culture Manager and will be focused on:

- Listening and consulting with the business to enable safe work.
- Driving a simplified, proactive, risk based and priority driven safety culture.
- Identifying and addressing health and safety risk within the business.
- Ensuring WHSE KPI’s policy and procedures comply with all applicable regulations and laws and are integrated into TMHA Safety Culture. Thus helping to ensure a healthy and safe working environment for all workers.

**ABOUT YOU**

To be successful for this role you must have:
**Knowledge and qualifications**:

- Strong knowledge of WHS and Environmental legislation including Codes of Practice
- Sound knowledge of relevant standards (ISO 9001, 18001, 45001, AS 4801) and an auditing certification preferred
- Tertiary qualification in WHS, Environmental Science, Behavioural Science or other related fields (a minimum level of Certificate IV)
- Expertise in workplace incident investigation

**Skills and experience**:

- Minimum 5 years of WHSE experience in an Industrial environment
- Previous experience/involvement in achieving WHSE cultural change
- Previous proven experience in managing and working with an integrated safety management system (IMS)
- Previous exposure to implementing new safety methodologies and initiatives
- Internal auditing experience (desktop and actual)
- Strong Interpersonal skills: communication, negotiation, influencing, listening, empathy and flexibility
- Commercial understanding
- Proven problem solving ability
- Project management and planning skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
