Dental Assistant

We are looking for a Dental Assistant (highly preferred with at least 6 months experience) to join our practice on a casual basis, to start ASAP.

The Dental Assistant role (working 2 days/week) will include:

- chairside assisting of Dentist
- working efficiently in maintaining infection control standards including sterilisation and re-processing of instruments
- setting up rooms between patients depending on clinical needs
- patient care and management
- monitoring and assisting in clinical stock check
- receptionist duties other administration duties as required

Skills required:

- At least 6 months dental assistant experience in a dental practice is highly preferred
- Sound understanding of infection control and sterilisation protocols is highly preferred
- Ability to follow instructions, be flexible with tasks and to work well in a team environment
- Good telephone, communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent listening skills
- Good time management
- High attention to details and accuracy
- Strong positive, helpful attitude and a willingness to learn
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Must have a strong work ethic
- Experience with Dental 4 Window and Microsoft Office software is highly preferred
- Professional presentation
