**ABOUT THE ROLE**

An opportunity for a **HR Business Partner**has arisen at Worsley due to the incumbent transferring to an internal opportunity in our Corporate head office. **Worsley Alumina** is located a short drive from the community of Collie (15 minutes), Australind (40 minutes) and the City of Bunbury (45 minutes).

This role works a **permanent 9-day fortnight working arrangement** - Monday to Friday/ Monday to Thursday.

The **HR Business Partner**is a key part of our team of HR professionals who are based on our operational sites at both the Refinery and mine in Boddington. We are seeking a professional that can work autonomously, but is also enthusiastic to contribute to the broader team on supporting HR initiatives and strategic improvements.

**HR Business Partners**partner with South32 leaders to help develop HR initiatives which support the achievement of business goals. They use information and data collected from various mediums to inform the development of these plans for their assigned portfolio across Worsley’s operations.

They collaborate with our Centres of Excellence to ensure that strategies and frameworks are aligned to business needs and implemented correctly. They communicate key people activities throughout the year and guide the business through cyclical HR events. Some travel may be required between Worsley’s sites, or Perth office, from time-to-time.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

- Partnering with business leaders to develop people-based initiatives, solutions and plans
- Partner with the business for cyclical people activities: performance, talent, remuneration, engagement activity
- Support leaders in ER case management as appropriate
- Support continuous improvement activity, helping us to deliver better HR services each day
- Collaborate with the Centres of Excellence to ensure that their strategies and frameworks are aligned to business needs.
- Support the development of a positive culture and high engagement levels within Worsley and portfolio.

**ABOUT YOU**

You’ll be a highly skilled HR professional with experience in partnering with business leaders to drive change and deliver results. Your expertise will include:

- **Influencing Leadership**: Demonstrated experience engaging with and influencing leaders to align HR strategies with business objectives.
- **ER/IR Exposure**: Experience in case management for supporting employee and industrial relations on-site for allocated area.
- **Exceptional Communication**: Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present, write, and interact effectively with all levels of the business.
- **Complex Environments**: Experience working in matrixed or complex organizations, navigating multiple stakeholders and driving alignment in challenging situations.
- **Site-Based Experience**: Experience within a site-based or industrial/ operational environment is highly regarded and will contribute to your success in this role.

Requirements for this position
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Employment Law, or Psychology.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years’ HR experience, ideally with at least 3 years in an operational HR role.
