Base pay range

A$100,000.00/yr - A$150,000.00/yr

My client, an innovative organisation in the medicinal cannabis sector, is seeking an experienced Production Manager to take charge of operations in their GMP-licensed manufacturing site. This is an opportunity to work at the forefront of a rapidly expanding industry while driving quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

The Role

In this role, you will oversee the entire production lifecycle – from extraction through to finished product packaging. You will ensure production goals are met without compromising compliance or product quality. Additionally, you will lead and develop a skilled production team while fostering a culture of safety and operational excellence.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing all day-to-day manufacturing operations within a GMP environment.
  • Maintaining strict adherence to TGA and regulatory standards.
  • Coaching and supporting production staff to achieve high performance.
  • Implementing improvements to enhance workflows, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensuring facilities and equipment remain compliant and operational.
  • Partnering with QA to resolve production issues and enforce corrective measures.

About You

  • At least 5 years' experience in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical, biotech, or related environment.
  • Prior exposure to medicinal cannabis production or cannabis extraction is advantageous.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a scientific or engineering discipline.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with a focus on compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Confident in problem-solving, data interpretation, and managing multiple priorities.
