**APS 5 - Coordinator, Special Collections**:

- This is an expected vacancy commencing February 2025

We are seeking to fill the role of **Coordinator, Special Collections (APS 5)** in the Reader Services Section of the Engagement Branch **commencing in February 2025 on an ongoing basis.**

The role is an exciting opportunity to be part of a part of a team supporting the Library’s readers and researchers, particularly researchers using the Library’s special format collections including manuscripts, maps, pictures, and oral histories.
You will provide expertise and support regarding the delivery of the Library’s Reference and Client services, specifically supporting Special Collections as well as Asian collections and Family History via:

- The Library’s Reading Rooms (face to face).
- Online and phone reference channels.
- Delivery of reference and research services onsite and online, and providing expertise and technical knowledge related to special collections.
- Coaching and supporting staff in the use of special collections.
- Developing and presenting content for staff and reader education on use of special collections.
- Developing policies relating to the provision of reference services.
- Contributing ideas and participating in the implementation of service improvement initiatives.
- With a team coordinating the Petherick Reader program.
- Supporting the NLA Fellowships program and use of collections.

**The role requires regular evening and weekend work - undertaken during the Library’s advertised reading room opening hours.
