Reporting to the RI Engineering Lead, the **Technical Writer **is responsible for developing and writing consistent, professional and legally compliant internal and external technical documentation for the Engineering Department.

**Location**: Perth Branch (Reid Road - Perth Airport).

**Roster**:Monday - Friday, 8.5-hour days.

**About the role**:

- Develop detailed, customer facing manuals and documentation outlining the end-to-end maintenance functions performed on machinery
- Liaise and work effectively with departments and stakeholders to develop and write technical documentation for the Engineering Team
- Utilise technical knowledge in the development of customer facing documentation
- Produce documentation in line with customer publication requirements
- Develop and maintain the technical documentation process to ensure maximum efficiency
- Maintain documentation records for the Engineering Team in line with the business Quality Management System (QMS).

**To be successful the following is required**:

- Tertiary Qualification in Trade, TAFE or Engineering background is preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products and Adobe photoshop is desirable
- Reading, interpretation and understanding of CAD drawings is preferred
- Previous experience in the field of technical writing/technical illustration
- Experience in a mining machinery-based field
- Demonstration of high-quality document production
