Technical Writer required by a Tier 1 Mining Company on a part-time basis

Your new role

As a part-time Technical Writer, you'll work closely with engineers, digital teams, and operational leaders to develop and maintain high-quality documentation. Your work will help ensure that complex technical processes, systems, and standards are communicated clearly and consistently across the business. This is a flexible role ideal for someone who thrives on precision, clarity, and collaboration.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with Reliability and Frontline Supervisors to create new and manage existing documents - and have them uploaded and managed in the system.
  • The documents would relate to a variety of disciplines.
  • Providing skilled support in editing and developing consolidated operational procedures and ensuring consistent formatting across all documents
  • Verifying alignment to the overarching internal Asset Standard.
  • Verifying alignment against appropriate external standards.
  • Improving document(s) usability through consistent content structure and language for diverse audiences.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous work in the Mining Industry is essential.
  • Experience raising or familiar with Fiori or Master Data requests (highly desirable, not essential)
  • Previous experience in the field of technical writing
  • Skilled in delivering high quality documentation for different target audiences.
  • Capable within the Microsoft Office suite, with a focus on Microsoft Word.
  • Excellent communications and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and working autonomously.
