The Engagement Assistant Director role is a leadership position focused on building strong, respectful partnerships with First Nations communities and stakeholders. You will:
- lead community engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to support self-determination and local priorities
- manage a regional engagement team, including mentoring, coaching, and performance oversight
- develop and maintain partnerships with stakeholders across government, community, and the private sector
- provide strategic advice on policy and program delivery, including preparing briefings and correspondence for ministers and senior executives
- support the implementation of the National Agreement on Closing the Gap and other government priorities
- ensure cultural safety in the workplace and in all community interactions.
