**Work Location**: Beckenham WA 6107 **About the business** Heat Exchangers WA (HEWA) was established in 2003 with one goal in mind, to be the very best cooling tower & plate heat exchanger service centre in Australia. HEWA are committed to developing and servicing the very best products with passion, dedication & reliability. We are currently seeking an experienced fulltime Mechanical Engineering Service Technician (ANZSCO 312512) to join us. **Main duties and responsibilities of the role**: - Service, repair, assemble, install, commission, inspect heat exchangers and cooling towers either at HEWA’s service centre or on site; - To assist in planning & preparation of jobs, using drawings, plans and designs; - Check quality of work performed; - Requisition materials from inventory, replenish consumables in accordance with scope of work; - Provide training to temporary staff for service as applicable; - Discuss equipment & maintenance with clients, collect and analyse data as required; - Check and Record goods inward & despatch with stock control; - Testing of equipment to meet specifications where required; - Clear and accurate communication with customers; - Adhere to all occupational health and safety requirements. This may include drug and alcohol tests on some sites; - Keep workshop and work sites in a safe, clean and tidy state at all times; - Keep up to date with new industry standards; - Carry out all instructions to the very best of your ability; - All paper work to be completed accurately and in a timely manner, before and after each job; - Time sheets to be completed daily & accurately and handed to Supervisor; - Be committed to the continuous improvement of all systems associated with the service function; - Fulfil other duties as required by management and other department personnel as requested/required; - Attend to site or overnight stays away for work will be required to fulfil the requirements of the role. **Qualifications** - Relevant Diploma or Trade certificate. - Competent English (Current IELTS; Pearsons PTE, ToEFL or Cambrighe Certificate obtained within the last 2 years) **Experience** - Minimum two years current work experience in a mechanical trade or extensive experience in the assembly and servicing of heat exchangers or cooling towers. - Preferably have a working knowledge of heat exchangers or cooling towers. - Site service and customer relations experience preferred **Skills & Competencies** - Demonstrate leadership ability; - Ability to work autonomously; - Effective time management skills; - Demonstrated problem-solving skills; - Ability to meet deadlines and to work under pressure; - Basic computing skills, including competency with Windows-based products, especially Excel, Word & Outlook; - Good interpersonal skills; - Good oral and written communication skills. - C class manual driving licence. **Personal attributes** - Mature, well presented; - Self-motivated 'can do' attitude; - Goal-oriented, result-focused; - Effective team player; - Belief in HEWA's core values; - The Client - Ethical Behaviour - Family - Team Work - Belief in HEWA's motto "Service is our Passion". **Salary**: $54,340.00 - $65,000.00 per year Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Overtime - Shift work Supplementary Pay: - Overtime pay - Performance bonus Ability to commute/relocate: - Beckenham, WA 6107: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required) Work Authorisation: - Australia (preferred)
