**Description**:
Due to expansion of our factory, we are looking for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our Engineering Team on DAY shift.

Based at our state of the art manufacturing facility at Banyo (Brisbane QLD), the role of the Maintenance Fitter is to support the maintenance and production teams by providing quality and efficient maintenance services during planned maintenance, breakdowns and the deployment of new plant and machinery. You will be challenged and no two days are ever the same in this role

What are our mechanical fitters doing onsite?
- Maintaining, control and diagnosing FMCG machinery such as high speed fillers, mixers, conveyors, sensors, hydraulics, robotic machinery and packaging machines.
- Troubleshooting mechanical faults, production breakdowns, production start-ups and operating setting using hydraulic & pneumatics
- Planned maintenance and using systems such as MEX
- Working with steam and/or gas appliances
- Identifying and participating in continuous improvement initiatives and projects
- Working a Set roster - day shift (5.00am - 1.06pm) with the possibility of overtime on alternating weekends

**What you need to have**:

- At least 5 years' experience as a Maintenance Fitter working in a 24/7 FCMG environment
- Experience in the areas of planned maintenance systems (MEX), organization and customer focus
- Steam or gas appliance experience
- Experience with automation
- Confined Space, Working at Heights and EWP certification would be advantageous
- Excellent communication skills
- Show a great deal of initiative and be a strong advocate of team work
