**Your opportunity**:
As the Teacher Aide (Identified), you will support the delivery of the Kabi Kabi Language program in a number of ways:

- In class support:

- Class discussions around cultural protocols, traditional beliefs and stories etc.
- Assist with use of language, speaking, listening, pronunciation
- The development of units of study - Working with teachers to create Unit plans and classroom resources as well as assist with language research.
- Cultural consultation - support cross curriculum priorities in other faculties: classroom visits.

Please note, this is a part-time role 0.55 FTE (42 hours per fortnight).

**Mandatory requirements**:

- In accordance with the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 a person is prohibited from working in regulated child-related employment unless the person holds a current Working with Children Check clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
- For this position, it is a genuine occupational requirement that it be filled by an Aboriginal person or a Torres Strait Islander person as set out in Section 7 of the Anti Discrimination Act 1991 for the purposes contained in Section 25 of that Act.
