Adela Support is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and skilled **Female Support Worker in Southern suburbs** **(client’s preference)** to join our dynamic team, with a **casual position** that has the potential to transition into a **permanent part-time role**. As part of a team that is committed to providing exceptional services to individuals with disabilities in the community, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Client Support**: Assist participants in implementing their plans to achieve personal goals and improve outcomes.
- **Personal Care**: Provide support with activities of daily living, including household tasks, personal care (showering, dressing, feeding), and healthcare needs.
- **Life Skills Coaching**: Encourage the development of personal skills through hobbies, interests, and life skills training (e.g., shopping, using public transport, managing finances).
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams and healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of care.
- **Emotional Support**: Offer emotional support to participants and their families, fostering a nurturing and supportive environment.

**Essential Skills**:

- **Communication**: Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
- **Compassion**: A caring and empathetic approach to participant care.
- **Effective Communication**: Skilled in active listening and clear, direct communication, ensuring effective service delivery and understanding diverse perspectives.

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- **Minimum**: Certificate III or IV in Disability or Age Care (or equivalent qualifications).
- **Experience**: Previous experience in the disability or aged care sector is preferred, or the intention to learn and gain on-the-job experience.
- **Clearances**: Current Working with Children Clearance and Police Check/Criminal History Check.
- **Drivers licence**: Current drivers licence with reliable car is a must for this role
