Due to internal career developments, an opportunity now exists for an enthusiastic and self-motivated **Workshop Supervisor - Machine Rebuilds **with the BTP group in Hazelmere.
In this role, you will primarily coordinate and oversee all maintenance on our customer's fleet in our equipment workshop.
Reporting directly to the Manager Equipment Workshop, you will support and oversee Heavy Duty Mechanics, Boilermakers, Trades Assistants, Auto Electricians, and Apprentices in the Equipment Workshop.

**Key Responsibility**
- Provide leadership and supervision consistent with BTP’s Principles, policies, systems, and procedures. Act in the best interest of BTP which includes working in accordance with legislation that underpins the company’s operation.
- Assess risks and hazards associated with tasks and methods to manage and/or eliminate the hazards to prevent incidents, injuries, and damage from occurring.
- Determine and set schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities based on work priority, available resources, and competencies of personnel.
- Initiate and authorize the requisition of tools, parts, vendors, supplies, and equipment to ensure the smooth progression of projects through the workshop to achieve a quality product delivered to schedule.
- Assist in providing accurate estimates of inputs including materials, labor, and external services.
- Manage the daily operation of all projects in the Equipment workshop, managing projects to budget and schedule.
- Set a positive and proactive example and provide direction, support, and mentoring to personnel in the equipment workshop.
**Skills/Experience**
- Mechanical or relevant Trade Certification.
- Recognized Supervisory / Management qualifications or previous experience supervising the activities of maintenance personnel.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in heavy vehicle maintenance.
- Current and Valid Manual Australian Drivers Licence (C- Class minimum)
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize tasks and react to business requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
