EMJC Earthmoving & Plant Hire has been a leader in providing plant hire, heavy haulage, and maintenance solutions for the Mining, Civil, and Construction industries.
With branches in Perth, Newman, Karratha and an onsite team in Collie, we are experiencing rapid growth and are seeking a full-time Workshop Supervisor to join our Perth team based in Hazelmere.
Role Overview:
Reporting directly to our Workshop Manager, we are seeking a strong supervisor to join the supervisory team managing the trades and support staff to ensure safe and efficient operations within the workshop.
With the team undertaking various mechanical repairs, rebuilds and paint and blast functions to both heavy earthmoving plant and heavy haulage equipment the Workshop Supervisor's will have in-depth knowledge to be able to ensure smooth day to day operations whilst also having the ability to provide diagnostic support for the team.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Managing and ensuring compliance with all WHS requirements.
- Organising mechanical workloads and scopes in line with changing demands.
- Setting and/or working within repair deadlines and KPI's.
- Ensuring all parts consumables and job costing information is allocated and recorded accurately.
- Supervising various trades, apprentices and subcontractors, including training.
- Requesting or approving parts in line with budgets and purchasing policies.
- Ensuring servicing of internal equipment as per service and maintenance schedules.
- Providing various support to the Workshop Manager.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Extensive knowledge of earthmoving equipment
- Supervisory experience and strong administrative skills
- Excellent communication abilities
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of industry experience
- Mechanical HD Mobile Plant Trade qualification
- Comprehensive understanding of earthmoving equipment
- Strong knowledge of industry required WHS standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong diagnostic skills
- Experience in cost control
- Exceptional time management abilities
