**Salary: Band 5 - $75,511.82 to $87,624.83 + superannuation**

**Role includes an RDO**

We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to join the Hobsons Bay City Council’s Parks department in the role of Supervisor Parks Maintenance.

Reporting to the Team Leader, the Supervisor Parks Maintenance will be responsible for providing daily on the job leadership and direction to designated Parks staff. This role has responsibility for overseeing maintenance works scheduling and implementing improvements at specific sites.

**What you’ll be working on**
- Lead a team to deliver a wide range of horticultural and park maintenance tasks at a high standard including, grass maintenance, sprinkler repair and general parks maintenance
- Use various Council systems including CONFIRM Asset management system.
- Monitor plant & equipment usage by staff within area of responsibility to ensure correct and safe operation and maintenance.
- Operation of a wide range of mechanical plant and equipment, and routine maintenance of such plant.
- Undertake all work in accordance with the Parks Department Safety Manual and other Hobsons Bay City Council policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance and supervision to other staff including Parks leading hands.

**What you need to succeed**
- Tertiary Qualification in Horticulture or relevant on the job experience in Horticultural practices with broad technical knowledge.
- Hold a current Victorian Driver’s license
- The ability to supervise and guide other employees and assist with on the job training.
- Experience in developing and implementing work programs for a team
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work within a team.
- Current Agricultural Chemical Users Permit, Chainsaw License and First Aid Certificate are desirable
