Hobsons Bay City Council are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to join the Parks department in the role of Team Leader Parks Maintenance.

As the Team Leader for Parks Maintenance you will be responsible for managing and providing on-the-job leadership to the Parks Maintenance team with the maintenance and improvement of horticultural assets across the City’s open space network.

**What you’ll be working on**
- Provide up-to-date, accurate and specialist guidance and work instructions to delegated staff, including technical expertise and input into parks and horticultural management/maintenance problem identification and resolution.
- Coordinate routine maintenance of horticultural sites and assets and act on/report observed situations requiring maintenance attention.
- Ensure that all works are carried out safely and to a high standard.
- Process timesheets, payments and authorise works within limits of delegation.
- Respond to internal and external enquiries regarding Hobsons Bay City Councils open space management.

**What you need to succeed**
- A qualification in Horticulture or similar field and/or extensive on-the-job experience in open space management.
- Specialised knowledge in Parks Maintenance and Horticultural procedures and operations.
- Demonstrated administrative, organisational and time management skills, with a familiarity of budgeting techniques.
- Ability to gain cooperation and assistance from other employees and contractors to allow for the maintenance of parks, reserves and open space sites and horticultural assets with the least disruption to the public.
