About the role

Your day will look a little like this:
- Responsibility for purchase orders associated with operating theatre consumable categories- Managing purchase orders through to closure- Assist and support ensuring fit for purpose and fair priced goods and services are obtained in a timely manner- Competitively quote all requisitions where no contracted substitute exists ensuring compliance with company policies- Ensure the confidentiality of pricing details- Tracking order activity and alert appropriate staff of any potential delivery problems, expedite the delivery of selected orders- Liaise with suppliers as required to ensure orders are delivered in full and on time- Analyse data for special reporting as required by management- Reconcile invoices, managing variances, discrepancies, returns and credits- Assisting with stocktakes when required

About you- 1-3 years of relevant purchasing experience (healthcare sector in a medium to large multi-site organisation and/or experience in an acute hospital setting required- Experience utilising iPharmacy advantageous- Ability to effectively interact with healthcare suppliers- Well developed commercial/negotiating/influencing skills with the ability to finalise negotiations within tight deadlines- Ability to prioritise workflow in accordance with conflicting demands- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)- Willingness to be accountable and accept responsibility- Competency in the use of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint etc.)Enquiries to: Amanda Footit, Director of Pharmacy at 9508 1880 Or Quyen Hoang, Pharmacist Team Leader at 9508 8628
