**The Role**:
We are seeking skilled **Casual Preparators** to join our dynamic Arts & Libraries team. You will play a vital role in the professional handling, installation and presentation of high-quality exhibitions at Hazelhurst and associated venues.

**As a Preparator, you will**:

- Safely receive, handle, install and de-install valuable and fragile artworks to museum and gallery standards.
- Prepare gallery spaces, including wall repairs, painting, lighting AV and sound setup.
- Build and maintain exhibition fixtures and supports.
- Collaborate closely with Curators, artists, and guest curators to deliver seamless exhibition installations.
- Maintain workshop and storage areas, ensuring tools and equipment are clean, safe, and well-organized.

**What We’re Looking For**:
**Essential**:

- Recognised qualifications or at least 2 years industry experience in exhibition installation or related fields.
- Current Class C Driver’s licence.
- Demonstrated ability to handle artwork professionally and safely, respecting conservation standards.
- Experience with gallery wall preparation, including painting and basic use of power tools.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with empathy and effective communication across diverse clients.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office proficiency).

- **Interview date**:Interviews will be facilitated either Friday 17th October or Monday 20th October.
- **Package**:$50 - $53 gross per hour plus 12% superannuation.
- **Hours of work**:Casual, applicants must be able to work a range of shifts between 5am - 9pm across a 7 day spread.
