Law Clerk (Superannuation & Disability Insurance Claims)

What are we looking for?

Come and join our National Superannuation and Disability Insurance claims team in the Ashfield or Penrith Office. We are now seeking a talented and professional Law Clerk on a part time basis, ideally 2-3 days per week. Flexible work arrangements will also be considered.

Our team works closely with clients who have superannuation Total and Permanent Disability (TPD) or private disability insurance claims following an injury or illness. We work to achieve the best possible outcomes for our clients.

Under supervision of a Lawyer within our Superannuation team, your daily duties will include:

- Undertaking client interviews to establish an entitlement to make a disability insurance claim
- Review insurance policies and trust deeds applicable to the client’s matter
- Preparation of claim forms and legal submissions
- Draft correspondence to clients and third parties
- Providing a tailored approach to each client’s matter
- Managing your own file load of client claims
- Maintain and build new relationships for the practice

What will you bring?
- Experience in legal administration
- Outstanding communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to multi-task
- Ability to work autonomously as well as in n a team environment
- Ability to exercise judgement and resolve problems
- Previous experience as a Law Clerk preferred but not essential
