Clayton, Australia Monash University Full time

**The Opportunity**

Join our team as a Clinical Research Fellow and play a pivotal role in advancing innovative treatments for eating disorders. This position offers the opportunity to lead a multidisciplinary clinical research team in the delivery and dissemination of high-quality clinical trials co-designed with people with lived and living experience of eating disorders. You will ensure all activity aligns with study protocols, Good Clinical Practice, and regulatory standards. Based at BrainPark, a state-of-the-art research facility, and working in collaboration with both academic experts and the Australian Eating Disorders Research and Translation Centre, this role is critical in developing meaningful interventions and driving excellence in clinical research.

This role is central to generating high-quality research outputs, including conference presentations and peer-reviewed publications, while providing senior-level expertise to support and mentor internal teams. A vital responsibility includes guiding emerging science-practitioners (Clinical Psychology PhD students), fostering their professional development and strengthening research capacity. Additionally, the position ensures rigorous clinical trial management by utilising platforms such as RedCap and advanced statistical analyses to maintain the integrity and excellence of trial processes.

- Area of Practice Endorsement in Clinical Psychology with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), with demonstrated excellence in delivering evidence-based psychological therapies and mental health assessments across a range of clinical presentations.
- Clinical experience in the treatment of eating disorders (including BN and BED), across different service settings and age groups, using diverse treatment modalities.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with clients, clinicians, researchers, and external stakeholders across both clinical and research settings, underpinned by excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Advanced analytical and clinical reasoning skills, with a demonstrated capacity to navigate complex presentations and contribute to translational research through safe, high-quality, person-centred care.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, with strong time management skills and a proven ability to manage competing priorities, maintain rigorous documentation, and ensure adherence to clinical and research protocols in compliance-focused environments.
