The Opportunity _**

At Infinite Care, we pride ourselves on our ability to provide an environment which encourages and enables residents to remain independent. Our Personal Care Assistants (PCA) are highly visible and play a key role in helping us achieve this.

Working closely with and supported by the clinical, lifestyle and hospitality teams, you will work with limited direct supervision and be responsible for delivering resident-centric care in a timely and compassionate manner which enables residents to make choices and have control over their support needs.

**_ About You_**

At Infinite Care, we hire on attitude and aptitude, and the position of Personal Care Assistant has been designed to enable 1st year nursing students (prior to completion of placement) or those who would like to work in aged care do so without needing experience or formal qualifications in aged care.

What is essential is that you have a resident centric, and the ability to “think on your feet”, communicate effectively, build rapport, and maintain professional relationships with residents and co-workers alike. In addition, you will also.
- Suitable for those currently or planning to study to be a Personal Care Worker or Assistant in Nursing
- Have excellent time management, organisational and leadership skills.
- Strong communicator who is committed to high standards of customer service.
- Ability to work across a rotating roster, including weekends.
- Excellent work ethic, ability to work in a team and follow set safety procedures at all times.
- Ability to think on your feet ensuring our residents are the main focus as you will be making a difference to their lives everyday
- A passion for making a difference to the elderly by being their personal carer including building positive relationships with their families.
- Proactive and measured attitude to identifying & preventing safety hazards in the workplace
- Adopt a safety-first approach to daily tasks and supporting colleagues at all times
- Commitment to attend safety specific training and upskilling sessions paid by the company
- Willingness to come up with safety ideas that improve awareness, hazard reduction and incident reporting
- Current First Aid and Manual Handling Certificates
