**About the opportunity**:
As a Youth Caseworker, you’ll be part of a warm, supportive team that is deeply committed to young people and their families. Every day, you’ll meet young people right where they are - whether that’s through drop-in support, information and referral, crisis response, or casework.
Your work will focus on empowering young people to address key challenges such as accommodation, mental health, domestic violence, education, parenting, and more. In some cases, the goal will be to help young people remain safely with their families.
You’ll bring empathy, initiative and collaboration to everything you do - offering support that is genuine, person-centred and driven by the strengths and goals of the young people themselves.
**Your work will include**:

- Offering information, advocacy, and crisis support to young people and their families
- Providing flexible, strengths-based casework that supports immediate and long-term needs
- Supporting young people to find and maintain safe accommodation options
- Helping young people build skills for independent living and community connection
- Working closely with other services across Macarthur and Wollondilly to create strong referral pathways
- Encouraging young people and their families to participate in service planning and feedback
- Contributing to the growth and refinement of our Specialist Homelessness Services model

Your Qualifications & Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Science and demonstrated relevant work experience with young people
- A strong understanding of the issues impacting homeless young people and their families.
- A natural ability to build honest, respectful and productive relationships.
- Solid experience in casework and support planning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A current driver’s licence & current NSW WWCC
