**About the Role**
We are seeking an experienced and patient focused Cancer Centre Admission Secretary to assist in the day-to-day coordination and supervision of the Cyril Gilbert Cancer Centre’s operational function.
In this role you will be responsible for welcoming patients and visitors along with their appointment book and referral management, collecting payments and associated private clinic billings and general receptions duties with patient chart management, filing and support for our busy specialists.
This role will require you to be available between the hours of 7:30am and 6:00pm Monday - Friday.
**About You**
You are a highly organised, enthusiastic professional, with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. You will be a well-presented individual who possesses highly developed communication skills, is flexible and excels in a multi-disciplined team environment.
- Previous experience in a medical administrative / reception position
- Previous experience in a hospital environment is desirable
- Certificate in Medical Terminology is desirable but not essential
- High level of computer skills within the Microsoft suite
- Previous experience in patient management systems desirable
**This role requires a caring, compassionate and empathetic nature that enables you to provide supportive care to patients and their carer’s visit to a busy oncology unit**
**Remuneration**:On Offer is a base hourly rate ranging between **$30.57 - $31.89** + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications.
**About the Centre and Hospital**
The Cyril Gilbert Cancer Centre is a state-of-the-art 35 chair Day Oncology Unit that provides high quality cancer services and quality patient care in a modern and comfortable environment.
CGCC also works in collaboration with a large on-site research department, Gallipoli Medical Research Foundation, which has contributed to significant advances in melanoma treatment. The cancer centre is also the main infusion centre for Greenslopes Private Hospital. It delivers treatment for patients diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, renal eye disease, immune allergic reactions, rheumatoid arthritis and neurological disorders.

**Requirements**:
Everyone who joins Ramsay:
- Must be **vaccinated against Covid-19** a vaccine approved by the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation
- Must provide a **National Police** check conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a **Working-With-Children **check and **proof of immunisation** against infectious diseases.
