The NSW Government is making a historic new investment in children, families and the economic future by transforming early childhood education and care in NSW.

The Early Years Commitment is a historic new investment by the NSW Government to transform early childhood education and care, child development and women’s economic participation in NSW. It is a commitment to change the future for children and families across the state.

With a commitment of $15.9 billion over 10 years, the goal is to give every child in NSW the very best start in life and set them up for future prosperity. This landmark investment comes on top of existing and sustained commitments to promoting quality, accessible and affordable early learning in NSW.

Children, young people and adult learners are at the centre of all decision-making, along with respect and value for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as Australia’s First Nation Peoples.

**Early Childhood Outcomes Division**

The Early Childhood Outcomes Division leads the delivery of the Early Years Commitment program, including comprehensive investments in the critical first 5 years of life for every child - in child development and in early education and care, making investments that support families and the community now, as well as investing in long term reforms for the future.

**Who we’re looking for**

These roles present an exciting opportunity to be part of a team who will work in partnership with families and the early childhood sector to deliver outcomes for children across NSW. The teams in the Division will work on a broad range of reform areas to improve access and affordability to early childhood education for all children and families, to provide funding and other support to the early childhood education sector and those supporting children’s development, to ensure great outcomes for all children in early childhood education and to build upon and support our high quality workforce.

The teams are focussed on policy development, service design, commissioning programs and services, all supported by existing evidence along with building better data, information and insights. We have a strong focus on engaging with families, communities and the sector to support children to learn and grow in their early years and beyond.

We want passionate and driven team players from all walks of life to join a forward-thinking team committed to delivering early childhood outcomes. It is critical that we build a team that is as diverse as the community we serve, and that we centre the voices of people with lived experience to inform the delivery of this critical work.
