The Legal Services Division is looking for highly capable people to join our Privacy Team to fill operational privacy roles. The Privacy Team works in a virtual environment within the Legal Services Division and manages the agency's response to privacy incidents and advises on privacy policy strategy.

The Privacy Team is responsible for the assessment of privacy incidents under the _Privacy Act 1988_, the development and maintenance of privacy policies, coordination of privacy matters with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner and the provision of operational privacy advice. Privacy team members make decisions within defined parameters which requires a strong understanding of privacy legislation and internal policy requirements. The virtual team works closely together to manage workloads and statutory timeframes to deliver the agency's privacy obligations.

To be successful in these roles you will be outcomes focused, exercise independent judgement and identify and drive innovation. You will have an active role in delivering the agency's Master Plan and contributing to the agency's strategic direction to achieve business outcomes.

The roles are required to be highly responsive and escalate emerging and systemic issues that may impact on policy, processes, performance and/or customer outcomes.
