About ECHO

ECHO Community Services is a registered charity providing care to the elderly and people living with disability to help them live in their own home with dignity while still maintaining their independence.

We provide in-home services 7 days per week for Home Care Package and 5 days per week for CHSP.

Our goal is to provide services at the same time, on the same day and with the same support worker which means that you know the person who is coming and the time they will arrive. Having the same support worker providing services, in particular, medication prompts and personal care, maintains the person’s dignity and well-being. You know and can trust the person attending. There is continuity of care for people who receive our services.

**Description**:
The roles involve providing aid to the elderly, including the area of personal care (showering, dressing, personal hygiene), meal preparation and domestic assistance duties, as well as offering social support and shopping assistance. Most of our clients are residing in north or eastern suburbs of Perth metropolitan area.

ECHO provides salary packaging, first aid training, medication prompt training as well as a travel allowance for distance incurred between client appointments.

**Skills and Experiences**:
To be eligible you must
- Intended to pursue a career in aged care
- Have the right to work in Australia
- Have access to a reliable vehicle with a comprehensive car insurance
- A valid driver's licence
- A valid (no more than 6 months) Australian Police clearance
- Physically fit to perform the requirements of the role.
- Covid Vaccination Certificate - Double dosed and booster
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care or Homecare) is desirable
