**Project Controller - Global Windfarm EPCM - Melbourne Based - Immediate Start**

This company is one of the world's leading suppliers of utility-scale wind turbine generators. **About the role**
In this head office-based role, you are reporting to the Commercial Project Manager and wider Project Management teams. the Project Controller will assist in reporting, forecasting, budgeting, PO/invoicing & payments across the supply chain. The role will require coordination with international departments as well as day-to-day commercial support of project teams. Someone looking to gain experience in renewable energy and excellent financial management and people skills would fit the role perfectly.
**Responsibilities**
- Work closely with other Commercial Project Managers to assist with reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Responsible for cost-controlling activities at the project and cost center level by working closely with site and project management teams.
- Ensure transparency in project-related non-conformance cost (NCC) reporting
- Actively communicate and follow up with customers to ensure invoices are paid on time.
- Prepare incentive and escalation calculations in line with contractual requirements where required
- Responsible for month-end close process, ad hoc analysis and profit & loss and balance sheet reporting.
- Ensure up-to-date project financial data, improve forecast quality and actively drive measures to achieve Financial Year target for responsible projects
- Together with the Project Manager, actively search for opportunities and measures which lead to project margin improvement in relevant projects
- Ensure performance follows contractual commitment with customers.
- Responsible for booking, managing and invoicing spare part orders and aftermarket sales.
- Responsible for invoicing against Service Contracts per contractual requirements & associated credit control.
- Assist with any audit requests for documentation.
- Ensure financial statements reflect true and fair view of the department’s activities
- Ensure compliance with our Financial Reporting Guidelines, Risk and Internal Control (RIC) process and local GAAP requirements
**Qualifications**
- Degree qualified in Business, Commerce, Accounting or Economics
- More than 3 years working experience in project controlling team include aspects of cost controlling, forecasting, budgeting, accounting, reporting and Forex management
- Have skills in SAP in Project Management and Financial Controlling module
- Have good working knowledge in POC accounting
- Strong analytical and communication skills
