If so, we have an opportunity for a talented and passionate Project Controller to partner with our project managers and play a critical role in the successful delivery of significant infrastructure projects, including Australia’s first offshore wind farm. You’ll be part of a deeply experienced, multi-disciplinary Place & Environment team.
**ABOUT THE ROLE**
As a critical member of the team, you will collaborate with project managers to deliver infrastructure projects in our Melbourne environment and approvals team, ensuring projects are delivered to budget and client expectations.
This is a permanent part time opportunity (3 to 4 days) based in Melbourne.
**YOUR IMPACT**
- Cost control, budgeting and cash flow maintenance. Administering projects in Dynamics365
- Provide monthly project reporting, including budgets, forecasts and cost to complete
- Provide financial input to project change requests, and update budgets and forecasts once approved
- Review sub-consultant and internal invoices for accuracy and recommend for payment
- Prepare monthly invoicing and forecasting
- Maintain relationships with subcontractors, our client and people on project control related activities.

You will also have:
- Three years’ experience in a project or financial controller role for a consulting firm or similar
- Proven ability to manage complex project budgets, including cost control, variation management and procurement.
- Proven track record in preparing forecasts and invoices for major projects or businesses
- High quality report-writing abilities and a passion to shape planning outcomes.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Knowledge of Dynamics 365 is well regarded, however on the job training is available
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting or finance
- Demonstrated experience managing portfolios of up to $50M
- Understanding of procurement, invoicing, cost control and forecasting
