**About the role**

The Supervisor forms part of the management team that oversees the operation of CCS within the Drug Court of Victoria and the Court Services Unit. The Supervisor has direct leadership and management responsibility for a team of CCS staff comprising Drug Court practitioners. The Supervisor works closely with the other Supervisors, Manager - Court Practice, CCS colleagues, Drug Court staff, Court Services Victoria and other stakeholders as required to develop, implement, maintain, and support CCS functions within the specialist Drug Court.

**As the Supervisor your accountabilities will include**:

- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of Drug Court practitioners including facilitating the allocation of workloads and providing professional supervision and mentoring.
- Manage resources and activities within the unit to ensure consistency with operating procedures, including policy frameworks, practice guidelines and legislative requirements of the Drug Court of Victoria, Court Services Victoria, and CCS.
- Develop, manage, and maintain key relationships with internal and external stakeholders

The Supervisor may be required to work flexible hours or shift work, including weekends and public holidays, and attend call outs as required.

**To be successful in this role, you will have**:

- Experience and knowledge of best practice case management frameworks, including the provision of needs assessment in a human services context
- Ability to implement theoretical concepts to reduce risk and maximise individual outcomes.
- An understanding and capability in leading and developing a multidisciplinary team responsible for operational service delivery
- An ability to develop, manage and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders including and not limited to court staff, Magistrates, community organisations and drug treatment agencies.

A relevant qualification in social work, human services or criminal justice with experience in a related field is also desirable.

Corrections Victoria's purpose is to deliver an effective corrections system for a safe community. Community Correctional Services (CCS), is overseen by Corrections Victoria, a division of the Department of Justice and Community Safety. CCS is responsible for the management and supervision of prisoners on parole, clients under post sentence supervision and court orders.

CCS is currently experiencing rapid growth in the offender population. In response to this, Corrections Victoria will embed evidence based practice across all areas of our work and target responses to the areas that will allow the greatest impacts to be made. This approach will contribute to a safer community and strengthen CCS for the future.
