Wetherill Park, Australia Maspro Engineering Full time

Based in **Wetherill Park, NSW** and reporting to the Workshop Manager, the key objective of the position of the Trades Assistant is to assist with production works at MASPRO’s production and logistics facility.

**Trades Assistant**: This position will perform a variety of semi-skilled production and maintenance duties requiring a limited knowledge of various trade skills such as Welding, Fabrications and Machining and the ability to assist and take direction from those Tradespeople in undertaking a variety of tasks as needed.

**Responsibilities and Objectives**

The following objectives are performed daily and demonstrate the core responsibilities of the position.
- Ensure that all plant, machinery, tools and equipment under your direct control are maintained and utilised in a safe and secure manner.
- Assist other staff in the use of plant and equipment.
- Dispose of all collected waste in the correct bins on site at Maspro Wetherill Park (or as otherwise directed).
- Work in collaboration with all stakeholders and develop, adopt and practice sound technical skills.
- Identify areas where the safety of staff and/ or the public may be at risk, and respond to these issues immediately and/ or refer the matter to the relevant person.
- Ensure that adequate records are kept of work carried out [as needed].
- Perform basic/complicated assembling tasks (pending knowledge and experience).
- Attend meetings, as required and assist and provide relief to other team members from time to time, as required.
- Any other reasonable duties as directed.

**Note**: The above functions and services are indicative. They may change from time to time, in consultation with the appointed employee.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- At least 1-2 years’ experience in a Trades Assistant role.
- Forklift License essential.
- Drivers Licence.
- IT skills or the ability to learn quickly.

**Salary**: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
