**About the role**

As the Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will develop, consult and project manage strategic Talent, Capability and Employee Experience department programs through to implementation to meet organisation's business needs. As an expert advisor, this role will coach the Talent Acquisition Specialist and our people leaders, enabling them to build capability in talent decision making and lead in a way that is consistent with the City’s values, behaviours and leadership capabilities.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will support the Senior Talent Acquisition Team Lead as 2IC with a focus on executive recruitment, strategic projects, dashboard reporting and training.

Key responsibilities include:

- Act as a Lead talent expert both internally and externally, for assigned portfolio and senior management.
- Provide expert advice and recommendations on hiring decisions to people leaders and provide exceptional service and advice to deliver end to end recruitment process for hires
- Design, consult, test and deliver talent acquisition tools, systems and processes to embed Center of Excellence initiatives, including Leadership Capability Framework, High Potential Talent Management and Succession Planning, aligned to the City’s strategic workforce plan
- Deliver complex analyses of internal and external Human Resources data; identify key trends and contribute to the creation of HR insights that enable the diagnosis of business issues, enhancement of employee engagement, and/or improvement of business performance.
- Champion the City’s Diversity Action Plan by coaching and influencing People Leaders to make diverse hiring decisions by the introduction of workforce demographic data.
- Provide leadership on key Talent Acquisition strategic projects and executive reporting; explain how initiatives directly relate to the People and Culture strategy and action plan, and the City’s vision.
- Play an active role in ensuring Talent Acquisition Data is accurate and up to date to allow for accurate measurement of ROI of Talent Acquisition initiatives.
- Respond effectively to unclear situations, seek to resolve ambiguity and make progress. Seek guidance on how to adapt to changes, respond with appropriate composure and effectiveness.

**About you**

To be successful in this role, you will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resource Management or a related field and proven lead recruitment experience.
- Demonstrates experience in designing and implementing talent acquisition best practices.
- Demonstrates successful experience in project management (i.e. recruitment system implementation, Oracle or similar is desired)
- Demonstrates successful experience in senior stakeholder management. Collaborating and influencing stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
