**About the Role**:
The Funding Allocations and Financial Reform Lead delivers strategic support and financial expertise in relation to the department’s funding arrangements, including identifying and / or delivering on process and funding policy improvement that supports the Department’s policy initiatives and objectives.

The role requires financial acumen in providing advice and support in reforms and initiatives that promote improvement in funding allocations to government schools and preschools. The role is also key to supporting the smooth and efficient operation of existing approved financial policy arrangements, where the Funding Directorate play an important role in supporting the Chief Operating Officer and Divisions within the Department for Education.

**About you**:
We are looking for a team-orientated individual with strong experience in the field of finance, accounting or similar. To be successful in this role, you will require considerable experience in working with complex models to achieve key financial objectives.

You will have the ability to research, analyse, manage, and undertake complex financial modelling of alternative financial policy scenarios.

If you thrive on solving problems, interpreting complex information and developing collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders, then this is the role for you.

**Qualifications**:
**Essential**: A tertiary qualification in accounting, economics or related financial / business management field.

**Special Conditions**:
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

**Remuneration**:
ASO6 $98,478 - $104,165 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (11.5%) and leave loading
