About the Role
- All nurses in the service are responsible for ensuring that the relevant standards are met during all phases of reprocessing through to a Sterile Assurance Level (SAL).
- The Assistant in Nursing (AIN) Sterilising Services practices as a member of the Central Sterilising Department (CSD) with a variety of tasks in providing a service of reprocessing reusable surgical and medical equipment.
- The AIN Sterilising Services is responsible for providing efficient, effective sterilising practices according to best practice standards.
