**In this role, you'll**:
be part of something big. This is your opportunity to play a pivotal leadership role in shaping the future of bus regulation in NSW.
As Manager Bus Regulatory Programs, you will help drive the delivery of key components of the Bus Regulatory Transformation Program, working across Transport for NSW and with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. You’ll assess and influence regulatory standards, safety management systems, and the regulatory assurance framework—building confidence in our approach as we reform bus regulation in line with national best practice and Bus Taskforce recommendations.
You’ll lead three strategic workstreams that together form the cornerstone of regulatory reform:
Lifting standards for drivers - including fitness to drive and training improvements aligned with national reforms.
Strengthening safety in operations - assessing and enhancing Safety Management System standards for accredited bus operators and fostering stronger safety culture across the industry.
Enhancing regulatory assurance - reviewing and improving tools and strategies to give Transport for NSW greater confidence in its role as regulator.
You’ll collaborate closely with policy specialists, industry representatives and other regulators to design strategies that improve safety, performance, and outcomes for bus operators and bus drivers who interact with the bus system.
This is a fixed term opportunity up until 17th February 2027.
