**Your new company**
Our Client has is has locations across Queensland and NSW with their head office located centrally on the Gold Coast. They are an organisation committed to provide excellence within the construction industry offering a superior standard of services to their customers. This position will require a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to work in a high-volume environment. With calculated growth and a long-term strategy in place, they require an experienced Payroll Officer to join their friendly team.

**Your new role**
You will be required to undertake the full function of end to end payroll for 100 to 200 employees using the system WageEasy. This role encompasses a variety of tasks across Payroll, but also assisting in the Accounts Payable department, your duties will include but not be limited to;
- Processing and performing the timely compilation of all payroll functions of wages and salary employees Maintain all payroll data, files and personal information in accordance with privacy legislation
- All aspects of payroll management
- Payroll tax calculation
- Updating the database
- Accounts payable using MYOB
- Reconciliations
- General administrative and adhoc duties

**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful, you will have proven experience in a similar role in a fast paced, blue-collar environment. You will be motivated, have excellent attention to detail and be willing to assist in all areas of the Finance team. Additionally, you will have excellent customer service skills and professionalism, experience using appropriate accounting software and collaborate with others in a team environment but also work autonomously. You must be able to demonstrate impeccable communication skills, have a strong work ethic and be a personable team-player. A steady background working within a similar role specialising in Payroll and Accounts Payable will be desirable along with advanced Excel skills and ability to stay highly organised and meet deadlines. Previous experience working in the construction would be beneficial.
