At Mighty Kidz Early Learning Centre, we believe that nutritious, delicious meals are important for little learning minds. As our Centre Kitchenhand, you'll play a vital role in creating wholesome morning tea and afternoon tea menu items for the children in our 92 place Early Childhood Service.

Our main lunch meal is prepared and delivered daily via an external catering company (Kids Gourmet Foods).These meals will require you to heat them up and present them to the children daily.

Your passion for food and commitment to quality will make you an essential part of our vibrant, friendly team.

**What You'll Do**:
Prepare nutritious, balanced snacks that cater to diverse dietary requirements and allergies.

Heat and present our daily lunch meals according to food safety standards.

Manage meals and snacks for children with allergies, dietary requirements and cultural requirements. (including children with anaphylaxis)

Plan seasonal menus in consultation with the Centre Director, ensuring variety and appeal for young tastebuds.

Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety in all aspects of food preparation, storage, and kitchen operations.

Manage stock levels, prepare and provide Centre Director with lists for stock ordering (twice per week), and minimise food waste.

Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members.

**What We're Looking For**:
Experience in a similar cooking role, ideally within an early learning or childcare setting.

Knowledge of food safety standards and allergy management.

Ability to assist plan menus that are both nutritious and exciting for young children.

Strong organisational skills and a love for creating in the kitchen.

Current Working with Children Check

Current food safety/ food handling certificate

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
