**About the Role**
The core_ _purpose of the Project Coordinator - Recreation and Aquatic Future Contracts is to lead the successful planning and delivery of the Shire’s Future Recreations and Aquatic Contract project which aims to provide a new contract and specification for the delivery of recreation and aquatic services at the Shire’s five facilities:
- Civic Reserve Recreation Centre
- Crib Point Pool (outdoor seasonal pool)
- Pelican Park Recreation Centre
- Somerville Recreation Centre
- Yawa Aquatic Centre
The Project Coordinator will organise necessary research, optioneering, feasibility and stakeholder engagement to develop and deliver the future contract to deliver maximum organisation and community benefit.
Reporting to the Team Leader - Commercial Services the core responsibilities include:
- Lead the coordination of the future recreation and aquatic contract project from inception through to completion adhering to stage gate quality guidelines, processes, and systems throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop a deep understanding of the current contracts and specification for recreation and aquatic considering key inclusions/exclusions for the future contract.
- Develop recreation and aquatic contract and specification for the five centres to meet best contract management practices and deliver community outcomes.
- Identify and manage key stakeholder relationships across the organisation ensuring stakeholder requirements and change requests are managed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop clear and succinct consultant briefs to effectively engage professional services as required.
- Prepare all documentation ready for tender including general conditions and contract specification, annexures, request for proposal documents, evaluation plan etc.
- Manage procurement processes and undertake effective contract management and supervision where required.
- Ensure effective financial management through identification of budgetary requirements and monitoring of budget performance, and taking remedial action as require.
- Flexibility in your work hours as you may need to attend to items such as meetings outside of traditional work hours.

- Solid knowledge of the principles of relevant legislation or willingness to learn.
- Well-developed evaluation, analytics, and problem-solving skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in sport and recreation administration and or/ extensive contract management experience are desirable.
