About the Contract:
The Toowoomba Second Range Crossing is the one of the largest road infrastructure projects in Queensland's history. The $1.6 billion project is a 41km road bypass route to the north of Toowoomba. Now finished, it connects the Warrego Highway at Helidon Spa in the east to the Gore Highway at Athol in the west via Charlton. The construction phase of the project has been completed in December 2018 and Ventia have taken over as the Operations and Maintenance provider.

About the Role:
Ventia's Civil Team are currently recruiting landscape labourers. These role's ensure the Toowoomba Second Range Crossing highway's landscaping is kept maintened for the travelling public at all times, offering an exciting opportunity to set the standard in a new ongoing maintenance project.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Remove litter and debris from roadways, including debris from rock and mud slides.
- Perform roadside landscaping work, such as clearing weeds and brush, and planting and trimming trees.

What's required:

- 6 months labouring experience
- Must be multiskilled and work on a variety of different tasks assigned
- Familiar with mowing, weed control and slashing operations
- Operation of whippersnipper
- HR license is not required, butr is preferred and will attract higher pay rate.
