**About the role**

Come and assist the delivery of events and festivals for the City of Willoughby

Key annual events include: the Chatswood StreetFair (20,000 attendance), Chatswood Mall Market (Thursday and Friday weekly), Christmas events, Australia Day, Lunar New Year and other special events.

As a casual Events Assistant you will support the Festivals and Events team to deliver experiences for the community:

- Weekly bump in and bump out of Chatswood Mall Market, coordinating stallholders onto the mall, managing pedestrians, ensuring safe access
- Support marketing activities for events, such as postering, fliering and letter box drops
- Provide event supervision for Council and community events
- Co-ordinate performers, stallholders and suppliers at events
- Ensure all stakeholders at events are following Health and Safety

Required qualifications, skills and experience include:

- Strong organisational skills
- Demonstrated customer service, negotiation and conflict resolution skills in dealing with members of the public/staff at all levels
- High level of verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience liaising with internal and external stakeholders
- Proven ability to determine own priorities and manage own workload with minimum supervision
