**About the role**:
The General Manager Local Area Coordination Operations role is an integral part of the Local Area Coordination Team and is primarily responsible for ensuring Feros Care as an NDIS LAC Partner in the Community is meeting all contractual and legislative obligations in a sustainable and financially responsible manner. To complement this function, the role will ensure the availability of a diverse workforce that is passionate and committed to making a real and lasting positive difference in the lives of participants of the NDIS program, their families, carers and the community.
The role will manage the day to day operations of the LAC program, ensuring operational viability and sustainability, building a solid reputation for Feros Care LAC of reliability and excellence. Ensuing the LAC operations are effectively and efficiently implemented to meet and exceed the expectations of the NDIS, Feros Care, LAC participants and the community.
This is a full time, fixed term contract with a very high possibility of extension
**Key responsibilities**:
- Oversight of the efficient and effective management of day-to-day operations of the mobile LAC workforce to ensure operational viability and sustainability, to build a solid reputation for Feros Care LAC of reliability and excellence, to consistently achieve world class participant outcomes that are highly valued and highly sought after
- Undertake workforce planning and oversight with considerations to the workflow management requirements of turnover, planned and unplanned leave, training and professional development to ensure a job-ready pool of highly skilled and engaged workforce is available to meet Feros Care's contractual and funding obligations
- Ensure ongoing operational compliance with the LAC funding agreement and associated guidelines and legislation, through monitoring systems and reporting processes aligning to meet both the NDIS mandated KPIs and National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) outcomes and Feros Care's expected service outcomes
- Build, foster and maintain robust relationships with NDIS, NDIA personnel and key consumer groups to ensure the success of the LAC operations and promote the good reputation of Feros Care
- Oversight and coordination of recruitment and orientation, exemplary mentoring and supervision, consistent performance management, and individualised professional development of LAC staff to ensure a planned and consistent approach in partnership with other Feros Care business units
- Ensure LAC resources are appropriately and effectively utilised and managed to meet operational requirements and guarantee business continuity
- Ensure all LAC information relating to participants and services is entered and maintained in the NDIS IT system in accordance and within the quality standards framework, organisational policies, legislative and NDIS requirements
- Ensure client documentation and data is protected in accordance with national privacy and NDIS legislation, regulations and requirements
- Work closely with the LAC Senior Leadership to actively monitor the experience of participants, their families and other stakeholders with the LAC program
- Implement ongoing strategies to ensure the LAC participants, their families and the community have an excellent experience
- Participate in the resolution of high risk and external complaints ensuring these are captured, acted on and resolved within required time frames and a positive experience is maintained for clients
**The boxes you will tick**:
- Tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent experience in allied health, disability services, human services, management, community development, social work or similar discipline
- Demonstrated knowledge of the NDIS Act 2013 and the participant pathway
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a large community based service across multiple geographical areas
- Demonstrated experience in managing a multi-regional service operations with in-depth understanding of the key business drivers
- Previous success in building an exceptional workplace culture where staff feel supported, valued and motivated to do their best work
- Demonstrated track record of successful operational management and people leadership with attention to detail
