**Job tasks and responsibilities**

**Assistant Educator**
- To assist in planning and implementing a sound early learning program that meets the prescribed goals and EYLF outcomes
- Partner with families and educators to ensure best practices are adopted in teaching and training young children
- Creative, flexible and able to multitask to lead and engage children's learning
- Direct the students to work as a team in delivering an effective program
- Work with lead and assistant educators to ensure all policies and procedures are adhered
- Engage with the Educational Leader and Lead Educator in meeting program expectation and goals

**Skills and experience**

**Assistant Educator**
- Cert III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Children's Services
- Minimal 2 years full time experience in the same role
- Experienced in implementing an effective program for young children
- Familiar with Children's Services Regulations, policies and procedures
- Interpersonal skills in relating to families, children and educators
- Current First Aid training

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $32.00 - $34.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift
- Afternoon shift
- Day shift

Supplementary Pay:

- Glen Waverley, VIC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Diploma (preferred)

**Experience**:

- working with children local: 2 years (required)
