Orchard Hand

Montague is an Australian owned family business that grows, processes, and distributes some of the juiciest and most flavoursome apples, stonefruit, citrus and grapes in Australia.

**We are currently recruiting for a Casual Orchard Hand for our Narre Warren North Orchard.**

**Key responsibilities include, but not limited to**:
Repairs and maintenance, irrigation, nutrition, pest control, spraying, hand thinning, pruning, harvesting and general groundskeeping.

**To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following attributes**:

- Tractor and machinery operating experience
- Previous farm hand experience essential
- Ability to follow and document processes and procedures
- A current driver’s licence with reliable transport
- Must be physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work autonomously/independently with limited supervision at times
- Must have a proactive approach to safety and quality
- A strong work ethic - must be reliable and punctual
- Be a team player
- Great attention to detail

**The following will be highly regarded**:

- Forklift licence
- Chem cert certificate
- First aid certificate
- Chain saw training/experience

Hours vary but they are early morning starts with the possibility of some weekend work if required.

- Orchard / Farm Hand: 2 years (preferred)
