**About the role**

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Support Officer to join our Settlement Engagement and Transition Support (SETS) team on a permanent part time basis of 30 hours per fortnight at our welcoming and spacious Mirrabooka hub. The SETS team supports refugees and newly arrived migrants looking to establish a new life in Australia and as Business Support Officer, reporting to the Manager Multicultural Support Services North, you will be responsible for supporting the operations of the team by providing key administrative and coordination support.

You will provide key administrative support to the Manager of Multicultural Support Services North and the team in their day to day business, such as data entry or preparing documentation for the SETS program. No two days will be the same as you navigate ever changing daily priorities in an often emotive environment. You will play an intricate role in providing a positive and efficient support service to clients and stakeholders alike with a focus on person centred practice at all times.

You will have demonstrated experience in a similar role and will pride yourself on acting with integrity, confidentiality and respect at all times, in all activities you undertake in line with MercyCare ethos and values.

The following will also see you to success:

- Certificate III in Business Administration or relevant field is desired
- Prior experience working in a similar administrative role
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Excellent time management and organisation skills
- Working with Children Check
- Drivers License
- COVID and Influenza vaccinations are preferred but not required
- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
- An understanding of the principles of Service User privacy, confidentiality and duty of care
