**The Company**

The Cotton Research and Development Corporation (CRDC) is the major investment body delivering outcomes in cotton research, development and extension (RD&E) for the Australian cotton industry. A partnership between the Commonwealth Government and cotton growers, CRDC exists to invest in world-leading RD&E to benefit Australia’s dynamic cotton industry, and the wider community.

CottonInfo is the cotton industry’s joint extension program - a partnership between CRDC, Cotton Australia and Cotton Seed Distributors - designed to deliver the latest research and development (R&D) outcomes to cotton growers and consultants. As a trusted information source, CottonInfo helps cotton growers improve on-farm practices, productivity, competitiveness and environmental performance. The CottonInfo team consists of Regional Extension Officers, Technical Leads and myBMP experts.

**CottonInfo’s three key focuses are to**:

- Improve the rate and reach of R&D adaption and adoption
- Enable successful cotton industry expansion
- Respond to biosecurity threats and assist in the event of natural disasters

**The Role**

With the incumbent moving on, there is now the need for a replacement CottonInfo Program Lead. Reporting to the CRDC GM Communications and Extension and working closely with the joint venture partners, the role is responsible for leading the extension program and supporting a team facilitating the adoption of R&D in the Australian cotton industry.

The CottonInfo Program Lead is responsible for shaping, implementing and delivering against the CottonInfo strategic plan in this execution role, influencing the team delivering key information to market.

This includes delivering on KPI’s around:

- Leadership
- Achievement of goals
- Implementation of campaigns
- Facilitating engagement with industry

**The Person**

To be successful in this influencing role you will have:

- Experience in leading extension programs in an agricultural industry
- Leadership ability, delivering against strategic goals and executing tactics
- Excellent people skills with the ability to forge strong relationships with growers, consultants, the CottonInfo team and partners
- A focus on service for the betterment of the cotton industry.

There will be a lot of travel as initially you visit CottonInfo team members, growers and consultants in every valley. You can be located in Narrabri NSW, Toowoomba Qld, or any of the cotton growing areas of NSW or Qld for this role.

This is a key role, promoting the highly-respected CottonInfo brand and research information for the greater good of the cotton industry, as they continue to strive for excellence. You may come from another sector in agriculture looking for a new challenge, bringing your wealth of extension knowledge and experience and be a fresh set of eyes in cotton, which would be welcomed. Or, you may already have strong relationships within the Australian cotton industry.
