Maintenance Fitter

As a** **Maintenance **Fitter** based in **Clayton, Victoria**, you will report to the Maintenance Manager. You will be responsible for servicing, adjusting, repairing, and maintaining the plant, machinery, and other equipment.

**This is a Day Shift role.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Examine faulty machinery and equipment for defects.
- Dismantle equipment, cleaning or replacing damaged or worn parts.
- Assemble parts, tooling to ensure an accurate fit, testing reassembled equipment, and readjusting if necessary.
- Carry out preventative maintenance and minor modifications to machinery.
- Maintain plant and equipment.
- Ensure materials and tools are adequately stored and all tools and equipment are maintained mechanically sound and clean.
- Follow all company policies and procedures including the Code of Ethics.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all work carried out on plant and machinery.
- Experience with machining including Lathe and Mill.
- Basic Welding.
- Comply with all health and safety rules and procedures.

***Requirements**:

- Minimum 5+ years of experience in process and manufacturing experience with the appropriate Trades qualification.
- Experience working in hazardous environments would be an additional advantage.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Comfortable using MS Office Suite.
