**About the opportunity**

We are currently seeking a Clinical Educator to join our **Moran Head Office **team, located minutes from Wynyard train station in Sydney CBD.

Reporting to the Quality Compliance Manager this position will be focused on coordinating, planning and implementing ongoing education within the Moran Homes (MH), taking overall responsibility for initiating activities to ensure that individual and organisational education needs are identified and met.

**About the Role**

The Clinical Educator is a valued and essential part of the MH leadership team. You will interact daily with the Moran Home staff members, General Managers and Care Managers to ensure standards are met and maintained.

The Clinical Educator works closely with the leadership team and management, supporting them to coordinate education, and implement policies and procedures. You will engage regularly with staff, residents and families to seek feedback about the delivery of care, services and staff capabilities.

The Clinical Educator also has a role in providing and facilitating education to residents and relatives where appropriate to further enhance their understanding of the disease process and contemporary aged care practice.

**Program Development**
- assess education needs, consult with all staff members, plan education programmes, plan monthly education calendar considering consultation with staff members, audit reports, develop new initiatives, identify emerging issues and corrective actions.
- Have oversight of compliance to education reporting, attendance and evaluation requirements including the provision of reports to support legislative and HR requirements
- Maintain documentation of education given to staff members including formal internal and external education, clinical instructions and practical demonstrations, lectures, videos and any other relevant education.
- Encourage support and assist staff with specialised skills and knowledge to prepare and present education sessions within the program - both formal sessions and clinical supervision.
- Provide monthly reports
- Complete quarterly education evaluations

**Clinical Education**
- Liaise with relevant bodies in regard to student / trainee needs. Ensure assessment procedures are documented and recorded.
- Review clinical indicators / data to determine the impact of training in the clinical environment.
- Ensure quality of practice is maintained.

**About You**
- Registered Nurse Division 1 (Clinical Educator) - Current unrestricted registration with AHPRA
- Certificate 4 in Workplace Assessment and Training or working towards
- Demonstrated clinical skills and experience
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to provide clinical and general education as required
- Well-developed and demonstrated understanding of systems and processes
- Well developed problem solving and time management skills
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and within a team
- Knowledge and ability to use computers and technology efficiently
- WHS knowledge and skills suitable for the position
- Highly organised with strong planning skills.
- Driving license
- Current police check
- Current Influenza and COVID-19 vaccination including booster
