Director Program Management Office

As the Director Program Management Office, you will be responsible for overseeing the program / project performance, finance and cost estimation, governance and risk and planning and scheduling functions.
What you'll do
Provide high level resource management capability and effective budget management skills in a public sector environment to drive sustainability and high performance. Lead a Program Management team in alignment with the Public Service Values as a high performing team where staff understand their roles and contribution to Queensland Health objectives and are supported and valued in their work.
Lead the development, management and implementation of a program of work with numerous interdependent ICT projects against their respective project plan and take the lead role in progressing remedial and corrective action where progress falls outside of agreed parameters.
Provide strategic oversight of the assessment, analysis, documentation, development, scheduling and implementation planning of large and complex ICT programs / projects, including the evaluation of risks inherent in proposed implementations.
Provide strategic leadership and expert advice to ensure programs / projects are managed in accordance with best practice guidelines and Queensland Health's formal Project Management (PM) approach and methodologies to ensure project outcomes are achieved
About you
High level program/project management skills, with the ability to achieve successful program outcomes.
Experience in successfully providing program and project leadership in a large and complex organisation
Proven ability to lead and mentor multi-disciplinary program and project teams.
High level negotiation, consultation, facilitation and written and oral communication skills for use in a complex project environment.
