Hays is currently partnered with a key Victorian manufacturing company to recruit a Finance Officer for their Western Victoria site.

**Your new role**

Professional in-house Finance Officer to manage accounts, payroll and perform financial analysis. The position requires someone with experience in Microsoft Navision or equivalent accounting software, Microsoft Excel, a good understanding of software integration and payroll processing.

The scope of the role and day-to-day tasks may vary based on the requirements of the business and cross-functional duties into other roles may be required from time to time:
**Responsibilities**:

- Processing of Accounts Payable, including reconciling monthly vendor statements, preparation of EFT payments via financial institution throughout the month, setting up and maintaining vendors within Navision, distribution of remittance statements to Vendors once EFT has been processed;
- Processing of Accounts Receivable including co-ordination & distribution of shipping documentation, process sales invoices, monitor debtor payments and setup and maintain customers within Navision;
- Process account payments via EFT or international transfer as required. This includes monitoring daily payments' drawer. File all associated paperwork in a timely manner;
- Submit requests for foreign exchange currency conversions for shipping contracts as required;
- Preparation and lodgement of legislative tax requirements such as PAYG, Payroll Tax, Superannuation Payments, Business Activity Statements, Instalment Activity Statements and levies. Scan all relevant documents to the network on a monthly basis as part of audit preparation;
- Monitor cash position, extend cash flow and profit projections. Assist with maintenance / reconciliation of actual cash flow v projected. Follow up major debtors & escalate to management as required;
- Preparation of monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation, including Trade & Sundry Debtors & Creditors, Cash at Bank, prepayments and repairs and maintenance. Process months end general ledger entries, accruals and transfer journals;
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Completed a recognized VET qualification, such as a Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping with experience; or
- Diploma of Accounting with experience; extensive experience in a finance role.
- Registered or being able to register as a BAS Agent
- Sound understanding of Navision or equivalent accounting software;
- Accounts Payable experience
- Accounts Receivable Experience
- General Ledger Experience
- Fixed Assets Knowledge
- Experience in Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Online Banking Software
- Tax/GST/BAS - understanding of legislative requirements.
