Creative Motion Designer

**What’s the role?**

The Creative department at Sky News is on the hunt for a talented creative designer with skills that can contribute to a variety of platforms. Your role will be to support the creative team, marketing team and newsroom at large with creative visual solutions to help tell stories, convey information effectively and bring an extra layer of polish to all on air, digital, promotional & marketing outputs.

At the end of 2025, Sky News Australia will be relocating to brand new, state of the art, city-based offices and studios. The studios themselves will be some of the best in the country and the office space is incredibly modern, not to mention convenient in the bustling hub of Surry Hills, nestled between eateries, great coffee, and fitness options. Central station is one street away and the hours for this department are a convenient 9am-5pm with the option to time shift by an hour either side to suit any out of work commitments. Our team culture is friendly, flexible, and understanding of individual circumstances whilst maintaining the solid work ethic that a news environment requires.

**Key Responsibilities**

+ Bring your tertiary design training to the small team at Sky News and contribute to elevating the overall standard of work.

+ Appropriate design for social or digital platforms.

+ Adhere to fast turnaround times when required and punctually meet deadlines.

+ 3D C4D design skills suitable for creating news infographics.

+ Basic print design and layout skills are advantageous but not essential.

+ Create quality motion graphics for all Sky News platforms (digital, on-air, marketing) with ease and speed.

**Who are you?**

+ You have credentials in design training with a solid understanding of aesthetic fundamentals.

+ Natural use of grid layouts, typography and a range of motion skills.

+ Comprehensive skills in AE, PR, AI, PSD

+ Basic skills in C4D.

+ Experience creating content for social or digital channels.

+ Meticulous, organised and able to multitask.

+ A high standard of attention to detail.

+ Naturally creative and ideas driven.

+ A can-do attitude is essential as is the ability to take feedback and changes in a professional and non-personal manner.

+ Engaging with other team members and stakeholders politely and graciously
