**Job Description**:

- Build, write, execute and maintain the automation framework
- Design tests with an exploratory focus.
- Work collaboratively with the developers/business analysts to improve test coverage
- Create and maintain relevant test documentation and artefacts
- Defect management using TAL agreed Quality Assurance (QA) processes
- Create and review acceptance criteria with focus on behaviour-based development methodologies
- Perform risk analysis and ensure reliability and security of software and data under test
- Always raise quality concerns/constraints and come up with ways of addressing them
- Identify areas appropriate for automation and look for ways to optimise test scenarios
- Proactive communication and collaboration with interdependent scrum teams
- Manage and maintain the QA Environment
- Contribute to product release, maintaining release notes and perform Production Verification Testing where necessary
- Participate in activities to improve QA: tools, process, knowledge sharing, reporting, etc.
- Investigate and present new ideas to team
- Suggest and implement improvements to the automation testing aspects of our CI/CD pipeline

**Qualifications**:

Essential Qualifications/Experience:

- IT or a related field qualification
- 8+ years in Quality Testing & 3+ years in Test Automation technologies (Selenium, Ruby, etc.)
- Experience in implementing test frameworks
- Experience in digital (web and mobile device) test automation
- API and web services testing experience using tools such as SOAP UI, Postman, Swagger
- Experience with Test Driven Development
- Agile environment experience
- Experience with automating testing from CI/CD pipeline tools such as TeamCity, Octopus and Azure DevOps

Desirable Qualification/Experience: Tertiary qualifications; Financial Services/Insurance/Life Insurance industry background; experience writing.NET code; proficient with Jira & Confluence; understands behaviour driven development; browser/device simulation tool experience.
